4 Donation Options
Funds one or more grant recipients whose research and future potential contributions will add to the knowledge about and/or assist in the conservation of livebearing fishes. Such applicants can be agencies or college-student researchers working with livebearing fishes.
This fund financially supports:
- the restoration and preservation of habitats, and recovery of populations, of livebearing fish species at risk
- research and education related to the preservation of livebearing fishes
- captive breeding and maintainance of threatened, endangered, or extinct-in-nature livebearing fishes.
Goals of the GWG are to promote and support the captive maintenance and breeding of endangered goodeids, to preserve goodeid habitat, and to support scientific research relevant to goodeid conservation.
NAGWG is an international organization of over 50 aquarists and scientists from Europe and North America dedicated to the preservation of fish species in the family Goodeidae.
