Dear FishFolk,

The wife and I just watched, "New in Town" with Harry Connick Jnr. and I liked it a lot because it reminded me so much of home. It is supposed to be winter in Minnesota but those scenes were filmed in Manitoba (right next to Saskatchewan where I was raised). We got it from Redbox at Walmart for $1.09 so we feel we got our money's worth.

To continue the (Manitoba) Canadian theme, we saw "My Life in Ruins" on Sunday at a matinee. There were a lot of little jokes that I really laughed at but most of the people didn't get. They were Canadian jokes. I am sure this was written by a Canadian, maybe the star, who I believe is originally from Winnipeg, Manitoba. I loved "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" as I grew up with people just like those in that movie. We both liked the movie. However, I've always been interested in Greece and Greek cooking.

Any other film recomendations out there?

Earl
