I'm very interested in platies and would love to get some new ones i have 3 right now all males and i would love to breed them but cant find any male fish that are worth getting :(. i also have a few dalmatian molly's. i just joined this sight to have some people help me learn about the hobby because I'm fairly new and need a little guidance with my new fish.

Welcome! If you have a local fish club you may find some nicer ones there. Members of the ALA can advertise in The Trader and there are also listings of fish available. I've found some nice hifin Platy's in stores too, you just have to keep checking what they have in stock so you don't miss the best ones.

Ashland OH is about halfway between Cleveland and Columbus...

I'd suggest checking out the Columbus Area Fish Enthusiasts club (CAFE) or

The Greater Akron Aquarium Society.

A third choice (longshot considering your fish preference) is OCA - the Ohio Cichlid Association - located in the Cleveland area.
