My livebearers are giving birth like crazy. In particularly, I have about 15 baby Sunset Platies, and about 8 baby Golddust Mollies. Does anybody have any recommendations for finding good homes? They're still reasonably small, but it won't be long and they'll be ready for permanent homes. Thanks.

Depending on your local petstores, you could sell them to the petstore for money or credit (which you can use to get food or other supplies). Some people kijiji their fish or use Aquabid.

You could always donate them at a club auction, sell them at a club auction, or set up a tank in a school classroom so kids can learn and take care of living fish...an introduction to fish and livebearers and the ALA

If you don't have room for more fish, I wouldn't bother separating anymore from the adults. The adults will probably eat them.

I have probably 1500 guppies at home in my 15 fish tanks. It started from just one tank with a few specimens in just a few years ago.
If space allowed, get more tanks... instead of giving them away.
By the way, I gave a lot of them to my friends and relatives!

I'll second Shadowhyrst's motion: If you would prefer to donate them as opposed to selling them, many schools and even some hospitals have fish tanks. You may be surprised to find one close by if you call around.

Kudos for thinking ahead so you have ample time to find a good home for them.
