These fish which I believe might be P. gilli were captured in a small stream to the North of Lake Peten not in the Lake Peten Drainage but in the Rio San Pedro drainage a major tributary of the Usumacinta. The problem is that the male is 9 cms in length. Originally there was a dark vertical band on the caudal fin this has now gone.
