Dear FishFolk,

I really like the module Betty has installed for the classified ads. I went into the admin menu and added a few catagories. It took me a while to figure out how to make them visible (permissions) but they should be visible to ALA Members.

Should the Classifieds only be available to ALA Members? Personally I think so.

I like how it asks you for a picture.

What other catagories should be included?

My personal opinion is that limiting the classified ads to members only would be a good thing. It would seem to be consistent with sending out paper Traders to members only.

I think it is terrrific how quickly things are going from the suggestion phase to trials. Fantastic!

We have guppy and swordtail categories. Perhaps platies?

I know I'm being anal retentive here, but would it be difficult to capitalize "classifieds" in the sidebar menu?

Dunno. let me see.

The main downside of that is you lose sales because you reduce the size of your audience.

hmmph. looks like the only way to change it is to uninstall and reinstall it.

Earl: lemme know if you want me to do that. it'll likely blow away your listing and we'll have to redo the categories.

Gordon: you should be able to see the link in the left menu under Interactive.

Even tho the module says you can change its name, it got all snitty when I did. I think we're stuck with lowercase.

I'm not seeing it either and I tried to get to it by looking up american liveabearer association classifieds and when I clicked on the heading it told me that I didn't have permision to access.
