How are flagfish related to the ALA?

They aren't a livebearer but if you need an explaination we can do 6 degrees of seperation.

1. A person posted looking for flag fish.
2. I have wild Flag fish.
3. I'm a member of Gold Coast Aquarium Society.
4. Rit Forcier, also a member, spoke at our club meeting about a month ago.
5. Rit is the president of the ALA.

So, now you know how it's related and this post is all in good fun.

If you are coming to the convention, bring a few bags of flagfish. I see in the rules that all fish are welcome, even non-livebearers. There may be a few killie fanciers in the crowd too. The auction will be open to the public, not just attendees.

Livebearing toothcarps and egg-laying tooth carps are similar fish. There tends to be a lot of cross-over between livebearer and killifish hobbyists. Flagfish are akin to killies and pupfish, so it's relevant from that perspective.

Also, flagfish make great tankmates for sailfin mollies.
