They look like Xiphophorus hellri (forgive me if I misspelled it). They look really nice! Where did you find them?

If you have both location information and species, it is important to keep both pieces of information. More and more often, we are finding that what was once thought to be a single species is now identified as two species. If you have collection information, that can tell you which fish you have after someone determines that a particular species is really two species.

I use to have a strain of X. helleri guentheri that looked just like these except mine had no black spotting. I sold the entire colony to a friend who lost them this past winter due to a power outage. I wish I had kept them as they were the most vividly colorfull helleri I have ever kept.
