"Livebearers" is a rather broad term, as their needs can vary according to the species. What species are you feeding?

most of them swordtails some platys, guppies, veliferas, molies. Would be nice to get recept for youngsters, for now growth rate of swordtails is slover than slow.

Lots of recipes online, but you just need to tailor them to the fish you want to feed. (e.g. heavier on meat with carnivorous fish and more veggies for herbivores)

You had better watch out when dealing with Melody Strikeris. She is one of those people who really does know what she is talking about when it comes to fish foods. LisaChromis is no slouch in that department either. They both hang out in a very nice forum where feeding fish properly is a significant topic. I am a member there too. Have a look here for tons of good information.

Sorry, I get too busy to visit all of the forums on a regular basis.

Each species can have different requirements, so it's important that you familiarize yourself with their wild diet and studies. Your growing Guppies are omnivores who require upwards of 40% protein, whereas your growing Swordtails are omnivores that require a minimum of 45% protein. It's often simplified into a matter of carnivore/omnivore/herbivore, but it's more complicated than that.

There's an article here about formulating your own fish food, and a basic gelatin recipe here.

We also had a couple of issues of Livebearers recently with recipes and tips for Livebearer food. Back issues are available for purchase, and/or you'll receive a subscription with membership.
