I would like to join the ALA and I was wondering if there was an online app and paypal or a secure visa card place to pay dues?

Have a look in the left side under "About ALA". The 4th line down is a "Join ALA" link that should take you to the necessary forms. I used it to renew this last year and welcome to the club.

Ya I seen the link on the left I was just wondering if there was an online option also. Guess I'll have to find a stamp and dust off my checkbook since I haven't wrote a check in year or so thanks to the visa bank cards.

I'm fairly sure that I used Paypal but don't quote me on that.

It may have changed with the new forum, we spread our webmaster & his tech team pretty thin. I'm sure online payment is one of the goals and form submission isn't a big problem to implement either. It will all come together soon, thanks for your patience.

Earl, if it's just a matter of putting a form online & setting up Paypal payment processing, I can put it together with my eyes closed... ok maybe not with my eyes closed...lol...but I can do it easily enough so there's no sense in someone else figuring it all out. Let me know if you want me to go at it.

I am pretty sure I used online payment as I can't easily pay with a personal cheque as I only have a sterling account.

It is a sorry state of affairs, but I can't actually renew until I get to the ALA Convention next year as it currently stands.
