Yes you can register for just the Speakers and a T-Shirt. You would also not receive the $20 of raffle tickets that come with full registration.
The Friday BBQ is open to anyone who registers for the convention, "Full" or "Speakers" only. It is going to be at a local county park and is a social event. A time and place to rub elbows with other fish hobbyist and have some fun.
When you get here, look me up and I'll try to get you info on interesting places to eat at.
