I don't know very much about the Imperial Swordtail. I read the ALA article by Steve Saunders and the follow up article by Dr Joanne Norton which was reprinted in the special publication 'Fishes of the Genus Xiphophorus'
I never got a chance to correspond with Mr Saunders. Does anyone know if he's still around?
The photos and drawings of this strain show a very thick sword on the male and a bottom heavy semi-veil on both sexes.
