ALA Publications

ALA Publications

As a member of the American Livebearers Association, you enjoy a number of benefits. Two of which are our great publications; Livebearers and Livebearer Trader. These are only available to our paid ALA members and are more than worth the cost of membership alone. Score incredible finds in the Livebearer Trader and learn how to care for them in Livebearers.

Livebearers features great articles on our favorite livebearers, written by our own club members. A vast amount of knowledge is tucked away inside the pages of each issue.

Livebearer Trader is a great outlet to find rare and wonderful livebearers. Offer your own stock for sale or build your collection. Pay for your membership by running an ad or two. This beats online auctions sites hand down.

Livebearer Trader SAMPLE Issue: Convention Edition

A letter from our chairman, Allen Wood

One of the great opportunities available to attendees of an ALA Convention is the opportunity to buy/sell/exchange fish. So that you might better plan for what fish you would like to acquire at the convention the ALA annually publishes a pre-convention issue of the Livebearer Trader. As you look through the listings herein, you can decide what you want and make room in your fishroom for the fish or list fish you have that you will make available in Cleveland. Contacting the lister before leaving for Cleveland is something you might wish to do. Do remember that there will be many fish available in the Sunday auction that are not listed in the Trader.

If you have not registered for the convention or made hotel reservations, it is not too late to do so. Check out this page. I look forward to seeing you there. If you are not there you will miss out on a great time with some great  people. See you in Cleveland and Keep your fish wet!
